Growing Pains: Traversing the teenage years

Loading Events

Our 23rd September seminar is all about adolescent health.  Join us for “Growing Pains: Traversing the Teenage Years”.

Dr Tess will discuss common health issues faced by teenagers aged 12-16 and their parents.  She will also be joined by 2 physiotherapists.

The session will cover:

  • Osgood Schlatters, anterior knee pain, and growing pains
  • Acne
  • Safe relationships for males and females including friendships and romantic relationships
  • Time permitting, we can also discuss supporting the parent and the teen who is wanting more independence.

*** This talk will be repeated in 2026, so we can address more issues then!

If you are a pre-teen/teenager/young adult or a parent, then come along for a Health Talks seminar for information and the chance to ask any questions!

Dr Tess Higgins, specialist GP from The Practice at Clem Jones Centre, will present this talk and be available for questions following the presentation.
